Educational resources for schools and public health
The demand for students who are proficient in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) skills has never been higher. STEM-integrated courses help prepare students for high-demand careers, while fostering creative problem-solving, innovation and invention, analytical thinking, and strong communication skills. It is imperative that the Family and Consumer Sciences (FCS) philosophy is strongly connected to the STEM focus and already aligns in content and theory. We are here to help identify resources to promote this connection. This includes classroom tested resources that identify STEM concepts naturally into a variety of FCS subject areas including: Food chemistry and baking science, gardening and local foods, child development, health sciences, kitchen math and measuring.
